If you have never driven a 2nd generation Rx you are not missing out on much. They’re comfy and numb but do their job great. The real big deal on these is how great the adaptive headlamps are. We bought a new to us 2006 Rx400h as a loaner/8th vehicle(I think we have a problem) and while driving it home last night I had to go over speed humps. Well, when braking for the speed humps, taking off from the speed bumps, and turning around the corners I noticed how well that they kept their positioning. I’ve heard that it is not uncommon for people to put these in other cars but now I understand why. I know it’s an Rx but every car except PT Cruisers has to have something good, right?

The 400h has circular fog lamps, or did you get a new bumper?
If my parents weren’t so against used cars (and the belief that Lexuses are a lot of money to maintain), I’d consider one of these. Great cars.

Stock photo from google. My Rx wasn’t home haha. And how could your parents ever think Lexus is ao to maintain? Ours has 338,000 miles.

I’ve always thought Lexuses were cheaper to maintain, since they’re basically Toyotas (even the same engines, designs, etc.) But I’m probably getting my mom’s RAV4, and I need to find something new for her.

Parts are more expensive for the most part but those parts don’t break that much anyways.
